“Cetus exploded up from the sea, blowing sulfurous fumes and gnashing row upon row of horribly pointy teeth. The gargantuan serpent  was so long that its coils spread out like an endless chain, beyond where Andromeda could see. Its snake eyes glinted red as blood. It was coming fast, weaving through the water, straight toward her!”

Andromeda is usually portrayed as a victim in traditional versions of this myth—the Chained Maiden. She is saved by the boy hero, Perseus.
